You can generally visit our websites without us collecting any personal data from you. Personal data is only collected if you voluntarily provide it to us for the purpose of executing a contract, opening a customer account* or contacting us. This data is used without your explicit consent solely for contract processing and processing your enquiries. After complete processing of the contract, your data will be stored with respect to tax and commercial retention periods, but blocked for other purposes and deleted after expiry of these periods, unless you have explicitly consented to the further use of your data.

In addition, personal data is collected when you register for our e-mail newsletter. These data are used by us for our own advertising purposes in the form of our e-mail newsletter, provided that you have explicitly agreed to this as follows:

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link provided in the newsletter or by sending us a corresponding message. Once you have unsubscribed, your e-mail address will be deleted from our newsletter distribution list immediately.

2.1 The personal data collected by us will be passed on to the transport company entrusted with the delivery within the context of contract processing, as far as this is necessary for the delivery of the goods. We pass on your payment data to the commissioned credit institution as part of the processing of payments.

2.2 When paying via PayPal, credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal or – if offered – “Purchase on invoice” via PayPal, we pass your payment data on to PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg (hereinafter “PayPal”) as part of payment processing. PayPal reserves the right to carry out credit checks for the payment methods credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal or – if offered – “Purchase on invoice” via PayPal. The result of the credit assessment with regard to the statistical probability of non-payment is used by PayPal for the purpose of deciding whether to provide the respective payment method. The credit report can contain probability values (so-called score values). If score values are included in the result of the credit report, they are based on a scientifically recognised mathematical-statistical procedure. Address data is included in the calculation of the score values. For further information on data protection law, including the credit agencies used, please refer to PayPal’s data protection declaration:

https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full

2.3 If the payment method(s) “Direct debit via ipayment” and/or “Credit card via ipayment” is/are offered, we pass on your personal data to 1&1 Internet AG, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur (hereinafter “1&1”) for the purposes of payment processing, insofar as this is necessary for payment processing. Further information on 1&1’s handling of personal data can be found in 1&1’s data protection declaration at http://www.1und1.de/Datenschutz (in German)

Should we make advance payments (e.g. delivery on account), we reserve the right to carry out a credit assessment on the basis of mathematical-statistical procedures in order to protect our legitimate interests. We transfer the personal data necessary for a credit assessment to the following service provider:

We use the result of the credit assessment with regard to the statistical probability of non-payment for the purpose of deciding on the establishment, execution or termination of a contractual relationship.

In order to make your visit to our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called cookies on various pages. These are small text files that are stored on your device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted after the end of the browser session, i.e. after closing your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your device and enable us or our partner companies to recognize your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies). You can set your browser in such a way that you are informed about the setting of cookies and decide individually about their acceptance or exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or generally. If cookies are not accepted, the functionality of our website may be limited.

a) General

Cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive and assigned to the browser you are using and through which certain information flows to the place that sets the cookie (in this case us). Cookies cannot run programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They serve us to make the Internet offer more user-friendly and more effective overall.

We use so-called technically necessary cookies on our website. Technically necessary cookies are cookies that are necessary for our website to function properly. They help make our website usable by enabling basic functions such as page navigation and access to secure areas of the website.

So-called session cookies (also called temporary or transient cookies) are used in particular. These store a so-called session ID, with which various requests from your browser can be assigned to the common session. This enables your computer to be recognized when you return to our website. The session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.
If you consent, technically unnecessary cookies are also used in connection with the use of Google Analytics via Google. You can find more information on this under Section 6.

So-called persistent cookies are also used here. These enable us to recognize your browser the next time you visit our website and to offer you an improved user experience. Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which can differ depending on the cookie.

If you do not want information to be recorded through the use of cookies, please select the appropriate settings in your browser. You can also delete the cookies at any time in the security settings of your browser. However, we would like to point out that it may not be possible to use all of the interactive features and functions of the website if technically (non) necessary cookies are blocked or deleted.

You can edit your cookie settings under the following link: [borlabs-cookie type = “btn-cookie-preference” title = “data protection settings” element = “link” /].

b) Legal basis

The legal basis for the use of technically necessary cookies is Article 6, Paragraph 1, Sentence 1, Letter f of the GDPR.

The legal basis for the use of technically unnecessary cookies, if any, is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke this at any time with effect for the future.

c) Third party services from Google

If we use the services of the third-party provider Google, the legal basis for using these services is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter a, 49 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter a GDPR. You can find more information on this in the following paragraphs.

Third party information:

Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, Fax: +353 (1) 436 1001 (“Google”)

Google’s terms of use are available at:
https://policies.google.com/terms,

as well as the data protection declaration at:
http://www.google.de/intl/policies/privacy.

There you will also find further information on your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy.

Note on the processing of your data collected on this website in the USA by Google:

By consenting to the use of the respective Google services, you also consent to the processing of your data in the USA in accordance with Article 49 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter a GDPR. The US is assessed by the European Court of Justice as a country with an inadequate level of data protection according to EU standards. In particular, there is a risk that your data may be processed by US authorities for control and monitoring purposes, possibly even without the possibility of redress. If you have not consented to the use of these Google services, the transmission described above will not take place.

If you have given us your explicit consent to this during or after your order by activating an appropriate checkbox or clicking a button (“Rate later”), we will send your e-mail address to Trusted Shops GmbH, Subbelrather Str. 15c, 50823 Köln (www.trustedshops.de), in order for them to remind you by e-mail of the possibility of submitting a rating. This consent can be revoked at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below or directly to Trusted Shops.

Our website uses so-called social plugins (“plugins”) of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). The plugins are marked with a Facebook logo or the addition “Facebook Social Plugin”. An overview of the Facebook plugins and their appearance can be found here:  https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins

When you access a page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly from Facebook to your browser and integrated into the page. Through this integration Facebook receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook profile or are not currently logged in with Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there.

If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can immediately associate your visit to our website with your Facebook profile. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the “I like” button or making a comment, this information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on your Facebook profile and displayed to your Facebook friends.
The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for the protection of your privacy can be found in the Facebook data protection information: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php

If you do not want Facebook to associate the data collected via our website directly with your Facebook profile, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website. You can also completely prevent the Facebook plugins from loading with add-ons for your browser, e.g. with the “Facebook Blocker”.

This website uses the Youtube embedding function to display and play videos from the provider “Youtube”. The extended data protection mode is used here, which, according to the provider, does not initiate the storage of user information until the video(s) are played. If the playback of embedded YouTube videos is started, the provider uses “YouTube” cookies to collect information about user behavior. According to “Youtube”, these serve, among other things, to collect video statistics, to improve user-friendliness and to prevent abusive practices. Regardless of the playback of the embedded videos, every time this website is accessed, a connection to the Google network “DoubleClick” is established, which can trigger further data processing operations without our influence.

Further information on data protection at “YouTube” can be found in the provider’s data protection declaration under:

https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. “(“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

However, if IP anonymisation is activated on this website, Google will shorten your IP address within Member States of the European Union or in other countries which are parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services relating to website and internet use.

The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

Please note that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()” and therefore IP addresses are only processed in abbreviated form in order to exclude direct personal reference.

This website uses retargeting technology from Google Inc. “(“Google”). This makes it possible to address visitors of our internet pages specifically with personalized, interest-related advertising who have already been interested in our shop and our products. The advertising media are displayed on the basis of a cookie-based analysis of the previous usage behavior, but no personal data is stored. In the case of retargeting technology, a cookie is stored on your computer or mobile device to collect anonymous data about your interests and thus adapt the advertising individually to the stored information. These cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer or mobile device. You will be shown advertisements that most likely correspond to your product and information interests. You can permanently object to the setting of cookies for advertising preferences by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link:
